Reaching the location

Taxi:

Taxies are the easiest way to get out of the airport. Taxies are often available at designated taxi ranks at the airport and central locations, and they can also be hailed in the streets if the rooftop light is on. Travelling between 10 pm and 5 am may involve pre-payment of an estimated fare as a deposit.

Shuttle bus services:

Private shuttle bus services are available from the Tullamarine airport to the south-east suburbs of Melbourne, providing an alternative mode of transport between the airport and Monash University, Clayton. Some of the service providers are Airport Bus Dandenong and South East Airport Shuttle

Skybus is the most convenient shuttle bus service to travel between the Tullamarine airport and the Melbourne city center.

Public transport:

Clayton is well connected to the Melbourne city center by train and bus services. The public transport ticketing systems (including trams) use a reloadable smart card called 'myki'. The myki card can bought and topped up at major railway stations and at a number of retail shops, including 7-Eleven stores. For fares and further information see the myki Webpage.

To get to the Clayton campus take any of the Cranbourne, Pakenham or Dandenong line trains to either Huntingdale or Clayton railway stations, and then take a bus to the Clayton campus. From Huntingdale use the 601, 630 or 900 bus services, and from the Clayton railway station use 631, 703 or 733 services. Buses leave towards the Clayton campus every 15-20 mins.
